This is a queer run dance party but not a queer only dance party. If you have a problem with anyone’s sexual identity, gender identity, or social identity, this party is not for you. If you want to be in a room full of love, radical acceptance, and dope ass people with a relentless desire to get the fuck down, this is your party.
Unless otherwise noted by the venue or party theme - you wear whatever you want.
Our Primal Selves care WAY more about celebrating our dancing reflex to the beat of a drum than what one wears or who one does sex with.

The Mother of all first steps - Safety.
“Doing a lap” as we all have said and done when going to a new place / party is a primal thing. It’s the nervous system’s way of checking the surroundings, making sure it’s safe to let loose.
I love this instinct and routine so much that I’ll start off the party with beats or activities that nurture this immediate entrance into safety.
Next up is an invocation “prime time” - a moment for the headlining DJ to facilitate connecting the audience to the cells in their body instead of the crap in their heads. It’s like meditation but with cursing.
After that - the dance floor goes from slow burn to full blaze. This is not the dance floor to try and prove something, this shit is build for you to shake it all out. Go wild y’all.

House, Afro House, Latin House, Pop / R&B Remixes, and anything else that hits the body from feet to hips to loins to heart to eyes. This dance floor is all about beats and vocals and sounds that stimulate sensation, release, sexiness, power, and joy.

TRAINED BY WORLD RENOWNED DJ TASHA BLANK THROUGH THE POWERHOUSE DJ SCHOOL (PhDJ), Michael is taking house, disco, and medicine music to formulate sets and environments that have people screaming, sweating, laughing, shaking, and breaking (the rules that keep us small at the clubs).
He is a former competitive gymnast, dancer, and choreographer; If you l are looking for some beats to flip and twist out to, this is your man.
Michael is LACKtose intolerant, a lover of gatherings where folx get to be EVERYTHING they are. He is found punctuating his parties with cues on the mic to inspire expression and pulling in parts of ourselves that we’ve forgotten about or were asleep.
He is currently a coach for the Powerhouse DJ School and can be found djing at private events and parties in the U.S.
